Myhrris odorata - Tough, easy, fragrant, fern-like leaves emit a delicious anise scent when brushed. Those complex leaves might keep you guessing until you see the flowers. White flowers May and June are lovely starry clusters. This perennial herb, a member of Apiaceae goes by several common names: Sweet Cicely, Chervil, Myrrh among others. Great in the woodland garden, edge of the woods or any partly shaded situation just be sure to plant where it can be touched for its delicious scent. Sweet Cicely will make a fantastic large-scale ground cover. In the larger scheme of a shady or semi-shade realm a colony associated with a bold-leafed grouping is a memorable sight. Woodland shade to part shade in average to fertile moisture retaining soil. Established potted perennial from seed.
