Acorus gramineus 'Ogon'

Golden Dwarf Sweet Flag

Plant Type:

GRASSES & GRASS-LIKE PLANTS

Acorus gramineus 'Ogon' - Golden Dwarf Sweet Flag. Plant it as a marginal, in a container with other smaller growing ornamentals, or as an edging plant in fertile soil its grass-like texture will complement and contrast. The odd "flowers" remind us of short plantain flowers. As Acorus is an Arum - related to the Jack-in-the-Pulpits, they are, in fact, akin to the spadix, , the Jack as it were, the tongue-like projection that arises out of the pulpit. In more shade expect a less bright yellow plant; it will be more chartreuse. Clumping. Established Dwarf Sweet Flag via division.
