Eupatorium altissimum ‘Variegatum’ – Tall Boneset displays corymbs of white flowers late season over variegated foliage with much cream to creamy-yellow splashing in each leaf. The opposite leaves can be as long as 5” by 1” wide. It is a very good bee and insect plant, well-used in a wild garden with other Jo-pye weeds, perennial sunflowers, goldenrods, ironweeds, grasses or in the wildflower meadow – one that might be mowed but once each year in late fall. Site Eupatorium altissimum ‘Variegatum’ in full sun to part shade planted in any draining soil. Clumping.
