Aquilegia 'x 'Bonnet''

Columbine

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Aquilegia 'Bonnet' EXCLUSIVE – This is a sweet little columbine which occurred by quite natural and accidental cross here at Quackin' Grass. 'Bonnet' sports light, soft pastel cool pink flowers in mid-spring arising from typical medium green foliage. We've named this for a most lovely, gentle lady, Bonnet Sonnberger, who was well-known in these parts as an avid rock gardener. She spotted it here when visiting the nursery in a trough where it had proliferated, immediately fell in love with it and had to have one! Grows 5 to 6 inches tall in a trough but we expect that it might reach a taller disposition in the open garden. Plant in any average draining soil sited in open shade to part sun. Seed grown.
