Pieris japonica 'Little Heath'
Mountain Laurel
Plant Type:
BROADLEAF EVERGREEN SHRUBSPieris japonica 'Little Heath' - Variegated dwarf with all green leaves edged in creamy white. Much red to pink is evident when new stems arise and young leaves emerge. Pink tones can once again occur late season when temperatures cool. Pink buds dangle on rayed stems and open into showy strands of white urns. A very pretty addition to the woodland garden, foundation a low hedge - wherever your creative bents lead you. Fertile, moist, humus-laden ground in dappled to full, open shade. 'Little Heath' will tolerate some morning sun but don't push it! Established, potted variegated mountain laurel from cutting.
