Plant Type:

BROADLEAF EVERGREEN SHRUBS

Agave americana subsp. protoamericana 'Lemon Lime' (ex: Ellen Hornig) – Broad knives of leaves with spiny corrugated edges are dusty blue with a showy lemony lime central strap running from tip to stern dividing the blue edges into broad margins. Leaves are a bit longer than on some other Agave americana selections; regardless, 'Lemon Lime' is a beauty in garden or container. If grown outdoors down south be certain it is in a very well-drained mix with some good, fertile soil added. But the drainage is extremely important. Established pot grown offsets.
