Arisaema ringens – Large Bulbs. Japanese Cobra Lily is another fantastic Jack-in-the-Pulpit with substantial green and dark purple pinstriped pitchers in spring resembling cobras' heads. Tri-lobed leaves are very large, glossy green and tropical-looking. These hold well through the growing season adding bold texture to the woodland shade garden. Open to dappled shade, very early morning sun or very late day sun will suit Arisaema ringens. Plant in fertile, organic draining soil that retains moisture between summer rains. This is a species slow to offset. Pot grown bulb possible bulbils attached to mother.
