Rosa x 'Goldfinch'
Rambling Rose
Plant Type:
DECIDUOUS SHRUBSRosa 'Goldfinch' - We're not rosarians but it is easy to fall hard for this sweet David Austin creation. In a gentle blend of warm yellow, honey, buttermilk and white with spans washed with a touch of apricot the clustered flowers, each a small bouquet, engage the eye and warm the heart with casual exuberance and grace. 'Goldfinch' is a rambler; on a white picket fence it's a classic, on an arch its glorious, draping over a wall it's all your eye will notice. 'Goldfinch' will flower June into July in southern New England. Flowers emit a light, subtle fragrant. Foliage is mid-green and glossy. Stems are sparse with thorns. Plant in fertile ground that retains moisture between rains, site in a full sun exposure. Roses are hungry beasts... an annual dose of composted manure or good organic humus will keep your pet 'Goldfinch' content and a little lime will be helpful. Established potted Rose from cutting.
