Parrotia persica 'Pendula'
Persian Parrotia
Plant Type:
TREESParrotia persica ‘Pendula’ – This is less a weeping tree than it is a form with a more horizontal branching habit; some branches cascade slightly. This little beauty stands just over 4 feet tall with a gentle bend at the apex of the leader off to the right in a nearly 90% angle. Lots of charachter already for one heck-of-a longterm specimen. This form of Persian Ironwood has all the terrific attributes of its more upright sibling: the bark, the foliage, the autumn color and its flowers growing into a most beautiful and engaging specimen. Site in full sun planted in draining slightly acid fertile soils. Cutting grown.
