Orixa japonica ‘Pearl Frost’ (syn. 'Variegata') – ​This variegated Orixa is an attractive shrub clad in grayish green leaves sporting an irregular white edging. The ovate lanced leaves light open shade though this shrub will tolerate moderate shade in more southerly climes. Japanese Orixa will grow in modest soils but it will be more content in a good humus-laden draining mix. ‘Pearl Frost’ is a low maintenance plant that expands the palette of variegated understory shrubs. Spring planting is advised in the north. Cutting grown.
