Linaria purpurea 'Peachy'

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Linaria x 'Peachy' - Tall casual stems many-branched towards the stem terminals adorned with myriads of little snap dragon flowers bloom throughout the growing season. In a combination of cream to cream-yellow, pastel pink to peach-pink with occasional carmine in the mix the little dragon heads are charmers as stems sway in summer breezes. The many flowers per spike are loosely set on multiples of secondary stems growing out from the main spike. The foil of gray foliage makes this plant especially lovely planted in full sun, and a well-drained average to impoverished media. 'Peachy' will make a nice filler plant with ever-bloom in a sunny mixed border that can be scrutinized close up or in a bony arid-land garden, a scree or a rock garden with Sempervivum, hardy cacti and some of the western Bush Clematis. Should you wish to soften the look of such a planting one might consider the addition of Amsonia ciliata. Established potted Toadflax from division.
