Iris germanica 'Baby Blessed' (ex: John Rich) – This lovely treasure is lemon meringue. Standards and falls are warm, bright yellow. The meringue is found in the pristine white beards. Blooming very early in the Iris season warm and lovely  'Baby Blessed' bridges the window of Iris pumila to Iris germanica. And then it re-blooms consistently in September - even in northeastern Connecticut. And at 10 to 12 inches tall this baby will never need staking. 'Baby Blessed' is thought by some to be the best re-blooming dwarf Bearded Iris. It is sweet and has been a very welcome addition to our inventory. Thanks, John Rich. Site in fully to mostly sunny exposure planted in well-drained soil to which some dolomitic limestone has been implemented. 'Baby Blessed' is a clumping perennial with moderate increase. Established potted Iris from division.

Common Name: Iris

From small woodland species and tiny forms happy in a sunny trough to those that stretch to one's waist and higher irises are among the most beautiful and unique of herbaceous perennials. They come in an amazing array of colors with fans of foliage that provide textural contrast to other garden denizens long after the flowers have passed. None that we carry are especially common. All are beautiful in the full sun border with many adaptable to pond's edge. They want a home! Pot grown division unless otherwise indicated.
