Hydrangea arborescens 'Riven Lace'
Smooth Hydrangea
Plant Type:
DECIDUOUS SHRUBSHydrangea arborescens ‘Riven Lace’ (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) – 'Riven Lace' is an unusual form sporting 4” to 5” white lace caps from light green buds in summer. This may be the same cultivar as 'Emerald Lace' which was formerly 'Green Dragon'; if not, it is very similar. The dark green foliage is a real departure from other forms of Smooth Hydrangea as it is cut, virtually lobed and almost claw-like. All in all, ‘Riven Lace’ is a shrub providing a softer effect in the garden with a neat, clean appearance. Site ‘Riven Lace’ in half to full sun planted in fertile soil.
