Eucomis x 'Rhode Island Rooster'

Pineapple Lily

Plant Type:

BULBS

Eucomis x 'Rhode Island Rooster' (ex: Ed Bowen) - a stable variegated form with emergent purple-red new leaves. These metamorphose into green and cream with multitudes of longitudinal stripes of varying widths. Eye-popping! Typical summer flowers on this Pineapple Lily which translates into "amazing". Makes a spectacular potted plant in the north which is easy to overwinter in the corner of a cool basement – just keep it dry with perhaps one mid-winter watering if in a warmish spot. Established pot grown from division.
