Eryngium yuccifolium 'Kershaw Blue'

Rattlesnake Master

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Eryngium yuccifolium 'Kershaw Blue' - Powder blue shivs with little barbs lining the edges of all matte-finished leaves splay upwards to two feet. These tough, fibrous leaves are densely set with just a bit of a nod to Yucca. Spikes rise from about 48 to 54 inches, branch towards the tops and sport globes of densely-packed florets tinted gentle pale green to light buff in summer. Introduced by Plant Delights this striking Rattlesnake Master was spotted, a cluster of four plants, roadside in Kershaw, South Carolina. Easy. Tough. Roguishly attractive - grrrrrrrrrr. This blue form of Rattlesnake Master will grab your attention planted in average, draining soil in full blazing sun. Great contrast with composites, bells or trumpets... and that blue! Established pot grown plant from division.
