Dodecatheon meadia ''white form''

Shooting Star

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Dodecatheon meadia "white form" - Shooting Star is a striking perennial with its sharply recurved flowers like cyclamens with all sexual parts at the bottom ends like exploded tips of badminton shuttlecocks. This is a really easy-natured sun to open shade perennial when planted in fertile, moisture retaining soil. They look splendid with primulas, even dramatic with the deep red red-purple of Primula 'Redfield Hybrid' - very nice! Clustered tufts of light green matte-finish leaves set the stage for the fleshy, leafless spring flowering stems. If ordered in our Autumn catlalog White Shooting Star will arrive dormant. Established potted perennial from division.
