Deutzia scabra 'Variegata'

Fuzzy Deutzia

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Deutzia scabra ‘Variegata’ – is a Fuzzy Deutzia with all green lanceolate leaves splashed with much white; the variegation is usually striking and remarkable. Makes us all warm and fuzzy... Wayne, stop now before it's too late. This multi-stemmed shrub is of easy disposition and can be used as a backdrop to shorter perennials, as an element in a hedgerow and as a foreground plant to larger shrubs and trees. We cut ours back every few years to keep it shorter and to generate new wood. Any reversions that may occur are easy to prune out. Not to be confused with the shorter growing D. crenata 'Variegata', D. scabra 'Variegata' will mound up to 8 feet or more in 15 years. Esatablished potted Deutzia, cutting grown.
