Deinanthe caerulea 'Blue Wonder'
Plant Type:
SHADE PERENNIALSDeinanthe caerulea 'Blue Wonder' – 'Blue Wonder' displays lovely, down-turned blue and white flowers comprised of rounded waxy sepals with showy anthers in early summer over medium green bifid, finely hirsute leaves. This is another very pretty herbaceous hydrangea relative for shade to dappled conditions that will gradually form a handsome clump requiring virtually no care; it just gets better and better over the course of years. 'Blue Wonder' may merely be a trade name attached to this wonderful species for the purposes of selling... like it needs help! There are also unverified reports that 'Blue Wonder' is a hybrid between D. caerulea and bifida. So, please note that though we are offering this as 'Blue Wonder' (and it is blue!) because that is the name under which it was originally procured that it may be actually a hybrid. In any rendition this worthy treasure will find contentment in moist, fertile soil. A clumping perennial it becomes more and more beautiful through the years without having to divide it. Established potted plant, cutting grown.
