Some flowers are more green with little purple-brown evident. When pollinated it will make late season clustered red berries on a club that extend interest. It's easy and fascinating in the woodland garden where it can be grown. Plant the Japanese Cobra Lily, also known as Himalayan Cobra Lily, in fertile, organic soil that retains moisture between rains sited in dappled to open shade. Where snow cover is guaranteed such as east of the Great Lakes this wonderful aroid known by yet another common moniker, Palm Jack Tree, is ground hardy there under the protection of a thick snow blanket, as cold as USDA zone 4b.
