Pycnanthemum incanum - ​Only 1 available. Hoary Mountain Mint exhibits midsummer silvery white flowers in tiers at the upper portions of stems. It is an oasis for all manner of pollinators. An overall silver-gray appearing plant with broad toothed leaves, the gray tone especially noticeable when contrasted with green companions. Undersides of foliage and the stalks are covered with white down. Barely crush the foliage and enjoy the wonderful scent which speaks of summer, warmth, pastoral scenes and serenity. Adaptable to soil condition, half sun is its light requirement though will perform happily in full sun where a little more moisture is available. Perfect for the meadow, wild garden or at the edges and margins of woods and even adjacent to vegetable gardens to help draw those required bees. Bruise the foliage for the pleasant, clean minty scent. Found in southern Illinois to New England and south. Established potted perennial from cutting or division.
