Orixa japonica ‘Summer Sunshine’ – 'Summer Sunshine' has bright yellow new foliage aging to light chartreuse to striking bright green in summer. It glows in the spring open shade garden making a terrific backdrop to polygonatums, jeffersonia and other denizens of the woodland domain. ‘Summer Sunshine’ is a low maintenance easy-going shrub untroubled by pests. It will grow in modest soils though it will be more content in a good humus-laden draining mix. Spring planting is advised in the north. Cutting grown.
