Betula michauxii -The Newfoundland Dwarf Birch with its small rounded and scalloped dark green glossy leaves on brown wood replete with lenticels forms a handsome, shrubby small tree. Foliage may turn yellow in autumn before leaf fall. Site in full sun in fertile, acid and moisture retaining soil for best performance. This would make a good bonsai candidate... it's almost there and naturally! Cutting grown.
