Abelia mosanensis - The Fragrant Abelia decorates itself with pale pink to white corymbs from pink buds in spring emitting a deliciously sweet scent over simple, clean green leaves. Foliage turns a respectable red in the autumn garden. This is an easy care and low maintenance shrub, attractive all through the growing season used as a low informal hedge or in a mix of shrubs/trees in a garden or a hedgerow. It can be pruned and tidied after flowering every 2 to 3 years to keep it fuller and denser. Plant in any reasonably good garden soil in plenty of sun. Found in Latvia... you know it's hardy! Cutting grown.
