Pinellia tripartita 'Silver Dragon' (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) – Glossy green leaves in sets of 3 per stem are heavily stippled and finely striated in silver-white. Fifteen-inch or so flowers arise above the leaves over a long period in summer looking like tall, elegant narrow Jack-in-the-pulpits. This is a species that self-sows readily but we haven't had it in the garden long enough to know if the progeny of the variegated parent will come true from seed. But its variegation reliably increases from offsets. Site in moist fertile soil in woodland conditions to part sun. 'Silver Dragon' is offered by pot grown offset.
