Philadelphus coronarius 'Variegatus'

Mock Orange

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Philadelphus coronarius 'Variegatus' - Broadly obovate leaves are boldly, irregulary emargined in snow white. Striking. Four-petaled cup-shaped flowers are 1 to 1.5 inches diameter displayed on May panicles emitting an orange blossom scent. Large, rounded shrub is beautiful as a specimen, as a background plant in the herbaceous garden or in the mixed shrub border. Mock Orange can be judiciously pruned for a smaller, tighter more handsome shrub. Part shade to full sun in fertile, draining soil amended with organic matter. 'Variegatus' was found in a garden in Alberta, Canada. Cutting grown.
