Keiskea japonica (aka Collinsonia japonica) (ex: Nickou) – Keiskea japonica is a rare herbaceous perennial from Asia. The late season white axillary flowers are somewhat spiked and often in pairs, about 2” tall. The medium green foliage has a curious "skunky" odor when rubbed which is probably why the deer avoid it, rabbits, too. This is another very good bee plant. Keiskia would be well-used in the late season perennial garden in full to part sun in any draining soil. If purchased in our autumn shipping window your Keiskea will arrive cut back for the long winter's nap. Established pot grown from cutting.
