Eleagnus x 'Quicksilver'

Olive

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Eleagnus x ‘Quicksilver’ – 'Quicksilver' is a distinctive shrub with pewter-silver ovate leaves which end in a blunted point. The color is as surprising as it is remarkable with its silver leaves cloaking a large, upright mounding shrub; use this plant smartly as contrast in a hedgerow to shrubs with green or variegated leaves or as a single specimen hedge. Perhaps it could be employed as an element in a formal garden scheme as repeated accentual specimens pruned larger and differently at the corners or ends of lower pruned green single-specimen hedges. A grouping could act as cooling backdrop hot herbaceous garden or an elegant foil in a white garden… it’s a fabulously colored plant in any scheme. Cutting grown.
