Allium ramosum - Clustered small bulbs give rise to scapes carrying scented white flowers in June on Fragrant Garlic. Sometimes a reddish stripe mid-vein displays. It looks a lot like Allium tubersoum but is not weedy and well-behaved in the garden. A higher elevations species in its wild haunts Fragrant Garlic is utilized by various cultures with both edible and medicinal uses. Site in sun planted in average to gritty draining ground.
The Ornamental Onions are a large group with many garden-worthy species. We’ve selected some that have performed well for us. Most require full to nearly full sun in most any average garden soil. The addition of lime is helpful in acid soils. All our Alliums are offered as pot-grown flowering-sized bulbs from our stock plants.
