Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Korean Gold'

Korean Plum Yew

Plant Type:

CONIFERS

Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Korean Gold' - A mounding upright Korean Plum Yew cloaked in long golden needles. The interior parts of needles and the entirety of the shrub exhibit more green where the is less or no sun infiltrating. It's lovely but a bit tender; not for northern gardens. Look: you might be able to get it through in a very sheltered spot in USDA zone 5 but expect some needle browning at the tips. Though the species is found in Korea, China and Japan this cultivar can be traced to Japan; beyond that we don't know. Full sun in fertile ground. Best exposure will provide protection from wind. Established potted conifer from cutting.

Height:

6-10 ft
