Clethra alnifolia ‘Woodlander’s Sarah’ – 'Woodlander's Sarah' is a variegated selection of Sweet Pepperbush found at Woodlander’s Nursery in eastern North Carolina. Typical, fragrant white-spiked terminal flowers sparkle and scent the atmosphere in mid-summer. Very similar to 'Creel's Calico Select'. Exfoliating bark is modestly attractive and with seed heads atop branches provide winter interest. Site ‘Woodlander’s Sarah’ in mostly sunny to partly shaded exposure planted in moisture-retentive fertile soil. Established shrub, cutting grown.
