Lysimachia punctata 'Alexander' - Useful perennial fill-in, this clumping Circle Flower or Yellow Loosestrife exhibits attractive variegated leaves. The margins of all leaves are broadly creamy white with centers medium green. Bright yellow flowers occur up and down the stems circling leaf axils in June. This beautiful ornamental introduced in 1990 is named for Mrs. Alexander of York, England. New growth is green, pink and white. Even the leaf buds in late winter at ground level are variegated and beautiful. Part shade to full sun in fertile, draining soil for best results. Easy and worthy. Potted perennial, cutting grown.
