Genista lydia

Dwarf Broom

Plant Type:

ARID LAND PLANTS

Genista lydia - Gorgeous bright yellow pea flowers completely inundate stems in late spring upon the Dwarf Broom. And speaking of stems they are arced evergreen wires assembled en masse. A wonderful full blazing sun shrub when planted in impoverished, well-drained conditions soil or sandy scrabble. Sharp drainage is key. Terrific in the rock garden among boulders it would make quite a statement when in bloom like cascading molten butter over the edge of a wall. Cutting grown.
