Tradescantia x 'Tall and Blue'

Spiderwort

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Tradescantia 'Tall and Blue' (ex: Ed Bowen) – Now just stop it! Before we all get toooooo presumptuous and snobby: “Eeooo, a trad-es-cant-chuh”. Do any among us actually enjoy counting each others nose hairs? Ed Bowen has nothing but high praise for this sterile, clumping, non-weedy Tradescantia sporting rich, dark, steely deep blue flowers on very tall vertical stems that remain standing for quite some time before they become increasingly more lax and decumbent. And as 'Tall Blue' is sterile it has an exceptionally long bloom period. A great addition to the blue palette, worthy of a spot in the full sun perennial garden. Full to mostly sunny placement in fertile to average draining soil. Pot grown from cutting.

36-48 in
