Campsis radicans 'Blizzard'

Trumpet Vine

Plant Type:

VINES

Campsis radicans ‘Blizzard’ (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) – This is a variegated form of Trumpet Vine with all dark green leaves splashed with irregular creamy white splotches and dashes. Typical large and showy burnished coral-orange three-inch trumpets in cymes adorn the vine mid/late summer in the north, earlier farther south, on new season’s growth. The flower funnels are a big draw for hummingbirds. Those rich orange-red flowers are a standout against the foliage, too. It’s a fast grower in fertile draining soil. Careful placement is a must as it can be quick growing and aggressive. ‘Blizzard’ is lovely scrambling over old stone walls, covering stumps or fence posts on a pergola, arch or lattice. It's a beautiful summer bloomer. Cutting grown.

30-40 Ft
