Japanese Quince

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Chaenomeles japonica 'Chojubai' – Low growing form with early to mid spring glowing green buds that open to luminous single cupped quince flowers in abundance in a creamy yellow infused with granny smith apple green. They fade cream-white. Though undoubtedly best performance would be in more sun 'Chojubai' has tolerated a surprising degree of open shade and still flowered and fruited well for us. Lovely in flower. Beautiful in a bonsai pot. Exceptional in the garden. Full to part sun in and fertile, draining soil. Cutting grown.
