Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum 'Watanabe' - Doublefile Viburnum from Quackin Grass Nursery

Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum 'Watanabe' (syn. 'Nanum Semperflorens') - ​This dwarfer form of Doublefile Viburnum hales from Japan. It somewhat smaller in stature allowing it into gardens which require a bit of restraint. Another distinctive feature is that 'Watanabe' typically flowers with abandon in May but then produces white lace caps freely from then on until November. Nice! Fall foliage color is bronze-purple on this very worthy selection. Site in full to half sun planted in fertile, draining soil. Cutting grown.
