Agave

Plant Type:

ARID LAND PLANTS

Agave americana 'Medio-picta Aurea' (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) - This is basically the reverse variegated form with a flame of creamy yellow in the heart of each succulent leaf encompassed by broad margins of blue-gray. Great potted plant in the north. Draining soil with some fertility and added lime in plenty of sun. Keep it drier in winter. Why aren't more folks growing these??? ...They're incredible! For gardeners towards the northern end of its range spring planting is advised. Pot grown offset.
