Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Golden Arrow'

Fleeceflower

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Golden Arrow' – Rich pink-red to dark crimson spikes arise in great numbers over clumps of bright golden-green lance-shaped leaves which may grow as long as 10 inches on a settled-in specimen. 'Golden Arrow' forms a rounded clump composed of the densely-set leaves and flowers. If you like accents of bright golden yellow set against other garden denizens, don't mind the pink-red contrast of the flowers and enjoy striking late season displays then what's stopping you?! The late summer to autumn flowering time on this Mountain Fleece make it a useful texture when planted with late blooming daylilies, shorter warm season grasses or any of the many daisy/aster flowers which occur in great abundance during this part of the growing season. 'Golden Arrow' would be striking with Eupatorium rugosum ‘Chocolate’. This is a low maintenance perennial of very easy disposition planted in any good soil sited in more sun than not. 'Golden Arrow' is easy, tough and demonstrates fantastic contrasting texture. It's a clumper. Division or cutting grown.
