Ligustrum obtusifolium 'Stardust'

Border Privet

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Ligustrum obtusifolium ‘Stardust’ (ex: Jonathan Lehrer) – 'Stardust' is variegated Border Privet with creamy pinpoints and stippling as if someone quickly flicked a paintbrush at the dark green shrub. Emerging foliage is almost completely white with a pink flush - what a beautiful plant. The foliage is elliptic to oblong sometimes with changeable fall color. The form of this useful multi-stemmed shrub composed of many densely set twiggy branches is upright horizontal, broadest at the top. We are not certain of the mature size of this variegated form but we’re guessing it may be a bit smaller than its solid green sibling. All privets are amenable to pruning. If you live in NY state we cannot ship this shrub to you. Sorry. Cutting grown.
