Aster

Plant Type:

SUN PERENNIALS

Aster x 'Dawson Road' (ex: Will Forster) – A very nice hybrid Aster with a strong nod to A. oblongifolius. Flowers are blue-purple but larger than those of one of its suspected parents. Foliage also looks to be strongly influenced by A. oblongifolius. A late bloomer that draws butterflies, bees and other pollinators with cellophane wings. 'Dawson Road' is a vibrant and vivacious quick grower that seems to have a bit of hybrid vigor. A very nice addition to the fall garden, natural garden, field or wildlife garden. Cite in full or nearly full sun in fertile draining soil. Eastabished potted hybrid Aster from cutting.
