Chelonopsis x 'Stonewall Pink' - This fine pairing between C. moschata and yagiharana from the pairing of white and purple parents has resulted in a lavender-pink funnels sprouting off of blackened stems in summer. Funnels are a lighter tint at the lips. Very nice. The moniker refers to the historic Stonewall riots that sparked the gay rights movement but also in a double meaning refers to the possible stone walls before which this fine hybrid might set; it does conjure a nice image... This lovely hybrid comes to us from Issima. Easy to please site 'Stonewall Pink' in open, dappled or part shade to half sun planted in fertile ground. Established potted perennial from division or cutting.
