Viola odorata 'Fair Oaks'

Sweet Violet

Plant Type:

SHADE PERENNIALS

Viola odorata 'Fair Oaks' - Pastel lilac-pink violets with dark purple veining in the throat are very fragrant. This Sweet Violet would be lovely at garden's edge or in the climax lawn where it will form a colony planted here and there among other garden denizens in a naturalsitc, casual display. Easy to please Viola odorata 'Fair Oaks' will be happy in modest to fertile soil; really any soil that holds on to moisture between rains. Exposure is morning sun to dappled light or open shade in the afternoon. Consider more afternoon shade in hotter parts of the country, more sun will be fine in the north. Seed comes true. A Canyon Creek Nursery intro made in 1986. Established potted Sweet Violet from division.
