DECIDUOUS SHRUBSBuddleia davidii 'Ellen's Blue' - Fragrant deep blue coned spikes on the violet side of the color spectrum erupt in mid-late summer for an extended show. The color is rich. Flowers emit a pleasing fragrance. This Butterfly Bush forms a rounded, compact ball of fuzzy green blades sporting silvery-white undersides only growing 4 feet wide and tall. This will draw all manner of butterfly, many bees and other pollinators as well as the occasional hummingbird. Fully to mostly sunny siting in fertile, draining soil. Handsome, easy, effective, 'Ellen's Blue' was a seedling discovery by Ellen Hornig of the former Seneca Hill in Oswego, NY. Spring planting advised in the north. Established potted shrub, cutting grown.
