Cotinus x 'Grace'

Smokebush

Plant Type:

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS

Cotinus x 'Grace' - This lovely hybrid (C. coggygria 'Velvet Cloak' x C. obovatus) was made by Peter Dummer of Hillier Nurseries. He named it for his wife, Grace. With a display of red-purple overlaying dark green to blue-green coins of leaves it is most handsome... or in the case of Peter Dummer's wife: lovely! Foliage picks up red, gold and orange colors in the autumn before falling. The reddish pink flowers on this Smokebush can grow to be 14 inches high by 11 inches wide. 'Grace' bestows us with smoky flowers for a long season. Best situated in full sun planted in fertile, draining soil; adaptable to Ph and drought tolerant once established. Cutting grown.
